Audra McDonald's artistry is unmatched in the range and variety of her work in her roles as a performer, singer as well as an actor. Audra McDonald who has won the prestigious six Tony Awards in a row and two Grammy Awards in 2015 was recognized as one of Times magazine's 100 Most Influential People. McDonald was first introduced to the television audience for her dramatic performance in Peabody Award winning CBS's Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters first 100 years. Following her appearance with Kathy Bates, Victor Garber and others in the famous Disney/ABC version of Annie in 1999, McDonald appeared as been a regular character in NBC's Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Following her debut Emmy nomination for her performance in the HBO film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit, produced by Mike Nichols and starring Emma Thompson McDonald returned to television networks in 2003 on the political drama Mister Sterling, produced by Emmy Award winner Lawrence O'Donnell Jr. and with Josh Brolin. The Bedford Diaries, a WB television show that premiered in 2006. McDonald then appeared as an recurring role on NBC's Kidnapped during the following year. McDonald was awarded the 4th Emmy award for her performance in the HBO film special Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill in 2016. The Bite will be a six-episode drama about a pandemic that will be produced by Spectrum Originals, CBS Studios and Taylor Schilling in 2021. Having first appeared as U.S. attorney Liz Lawrence in the year 2009 on CBS's legal comedy The Good Wife in 2018 McDonald returned to the role (now known as Liz Reddick) as a season regular of The Good Fight on Paramount+ with the three Critics Choice Award nominations for her role. She guest stars on Julian Fellowes historical drama The Gilded Age.
