Being a young and accomplished singer and songwriter, she's already one of the top selling performers. Born in Barbados, she grew up the joy of reggae, and even began singing in the midst of her childhood. Disturbed by the chaos in her family and conflicting with her parents, she absorbed herself in music, and soon realized she wanted to be a professional musician. In high school she joined a musical group, and was asked to audition for Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl. She moved into New York to start a career in singing full time. Her debut album was soon out and Rihanna became a musical sensation in no time. The singer was popular among youngsters for her uplifting dance music, which was a hit. It led to her taking up directing. As a talented young woman Rihanna has been recognized as a teen idol. Rihanna makes use of her fame to do charity and regularly contributes to various organizations.
